A knockoff is a copy or replica of an original item, usually sold for far less than the real item. The concept is simple, you can get these knockoff items at a significant discount to the original item saving you money.

I have travelled to the Middle East, Egypt, Thailand and have found these items in every country. For example, you can buy an unofficial Ed Hardy T-shirt and pay roughly $15 USD instead of going to the Ed Hardy outlet and paying $100. Same goes for Louis Vuitton handbags, you can pay $15-$30 instead of $2000.

Knockoff shops are harder to find in the Middle East, possibly because more people can afford the real thing. However if you go to the Souk (Market) you can usually find shops that specialize in doing this kind of business. In Thailand, knockoffs seem to be part of the culture as they (along with pirated DVDs) seem to be everywhere. Same goes for Egypt, which had the best selection of knockoff designer wear I've seen so far. However the quality was the weakest.

You can spot pirated designer clothes pretty easily if you look close enough. For example, look at the stitching underneath the Ed Hardy hat. The fakes that I've seen have cut lines as if the person were drunk. The real thing will have nice even stitching and clean cuts. However, my experience it is difficult to tell if someone is wearing a knockoff hat or t-shirt when you can't get close for inspection.

Bags are the same way, unless you can see the stitching or know exactly what you are looking for it is difficult to tell from a distance. In the case of Louis Vuitton the signature bag has exactly 5 stitches across the strap, whereas the fakes I've seen have 10 and obviously done by someone in a hurry.

Knockoffs cost designers money, and uses their intellectual property which is unfair to them. If you are unwilling to pay the price for the real designer shirt, hat or purse you should not buy the fake. Just take your business elsewhere and get a bag or shirt you like that is good quality and you can afford. You will look good and feel better about yourself.

Filthy Couture Fashion Line from JWoww

A new line of revealing couture wear is promised from Jenni Farley, aka JWoww. But please check out the garments for blemishes and stains, etc. A place with great Juicy Clothes selection is Loehmans.

If you must buy Juicy Couture Clothes online you may want to check out Zappos.

If you know of any more Juciy Couture places to shop please leave a comment below.

Tommy Hilfiger Field House Pants

I found this cargo pant at Macy's, under the Fall Basics collection and like the slim cargo style. They retail for $59 but I found it on sale for $39. A lot of people wear their cargo pants way too baggy, but these fit pretty well. Tag number 850927796 281

The beefy tag says the Hilfiger Field House Pant has "superior quality, distinctive style and meticulous attention to detail make each Tommy Hilfiger product a genuine American Classic".

They should have put on the tag "these pants are stylish and really, really comfortable". By that I mean even though they are 100% cotton they are softer and smoother than other cotton fabrics. And the details are high quality, a heavier zipper and nice buttons.

I don't mind paying a more if the quality is there, and these pants are worth it and highly recommended.

Tired of Jeans that stretch? Try XFIT Lycra

There is a new material being used for Jeans called XFIT Lycra, which is supposed to keep the same shape as when it is bought. This should solve the problem of jeans that stretch after wearing them.

A new company Henry-Lee and Co. is set to produce these jeans soon, and the good news they are priced in the mid range of $100 to $150. The name of the line is called Henry & Belle. The company is owned by Rob Mann, who sold his previous clothing business and has now entered the crowded jean market. More on this later...

Salsa Jeans

If you're from Portugal or Spain this addition will come as no surprise to you. Salsa Jeans are hot and spreading fast. There are currently no Salsa Jeans outlets in the US but you can be sure it's coming soon. In the meantime you will need to order your Salsa Jeans online. Here's some Salsa Jeans pictures and information.

If you are looking for good quality jeans that hide parts you want to hide and accentuate parts that look good check out Salsa Jeans. The main lines are Wonder, Basic, Jeggings, and Salsa Secret. Although we could pass on the Jeggings, (we really don't like the Jeggings look for any brand) you should check out the other styles.

And here are the outlet stores if you are located in Europe or the Middle East:
Salsa Outlet Stores

Juicy Couture Outlet Stores

What is better than going to a Juicy outlet store?
